BBGuestMemberJust posted on the pet page. Tried to catch/coax this dog yesterday and had no luck. Two others tried as well so if you do spot this little guy, be sure and call the contact number. Here is the listing:
Alby is a Fluffy White Chinese Crested Powder Puff (hairy not hairless). He is small (12lbs) white and fluffy with long legs and has been mistaken for a poodle or mix.
Alby is a rescue dog and deathly afraid of humans but he is a sucker for a treat as long as you don’t try to grab him. He may follow someone if they call his name coaxingly. It would be best to lure him into a fenced yard (or even house – he is potty trained) but call me right away. I know if he sees me he will come to me. Although he has never tried to bite me ever, I have been told that he was a biter, I assume if he is afraid he will likely bite and should be handled thusly.
Where: 10th and Thistle June 2, Alby pulled out of his collar and took off so he is without collar or ID. He has been spotted near 11th & Elmgrove, 13th & Elmgrove, and I am fairly sure it was him who was spotted on Delridge 3 blocks south of Thistle.

K9kidsMemberThank you everyone for helping. I am so upset. I have been canvassing the neighborhood over and over again and again. I have flyers. I am so worried about this scared little boy. Please spread the word if you can. Alby is posted on the pet page with a photo.
I do have to work tomorrow but am trying to be as fast as possible and spend as much time searching and canvassing again. If you spot him please call me ASAP, I will do everything in my power to get there ASAP!
Thanks again!

K9kidsMemberThere have been no new sightings since Wednesday. Visted and left flyers at all shelters, pet stores, and vet clinics. There is a one block area where my posters were removed. If they are removed again within 24 hours I may have to assume someone has taken him in and possibly wants to keep him? Which is a much better alternative than death, but still we want him back. He is loved, he is missed, we have worked so hard with him…

K9kidsMemberIt has been a week. No new sightings. I am now going door to door with mini flyers. Missing this little fluffy boy. He has had such a hard life and I am terribly sad that I have not been able to “save” him from this scary experience. Please tell everyone you can, spread the word. I have full page color flyers and small mini flyers if anyone would be willing to help me canvas.
It is believed that he is still alive, hunkered down in a residential neighborhood where the houses are close together. A woman attempted to give him a treat which he was about to take when she made a grab for him, and off he went. We are not sure what neighborhood he is in but we believe it is one where the garbage is picked up on Wednesdays.
Any help, good thoughts, prayers etcetera GREATLY appreciated… thank you!

ellenaterMemberI’m sorry for you! I lost my dog a few years ago (and found her, so hopefully you will, too). I am so sorry and will keep an eye out!!

JoBParticipantmy heart goes out to you. i live with a couple of abused rescue escape artists myself…
i urge those who adopt dogs with histories of running to walk their dog with the leash attached to a halter instead of a collar. A well adjusted halter is much more difficult to slip out of when you are out in public.
that said.. both of my little sweethearts have managed to escape their halters by snagging them on bushes in the security of their own yards.
mine wear theirs all day because i found it really handy to have a handle to grab to get their attention … but if the halter is used just for walks most dogs are more than eager to have to put them on. they are more than happy to “get dressed” every morning to go on their morning walk :)
I hope you get your little guy back soon.
