Wait! What? Is he lost or dead? I imagine this happened while you were recovering. But, wait! What?

Jan, I am so, so sorry. This is so unfair for you to have to endure after being so ill. He obviously was well-loved and had a great life with you.

KatherineL…yes, I got to see him , and hold him, and snuggle him, and say good bye.

And my profound thanks to Pamela at FCAT (Hammerhead), and her wonderful friends who have helped me with this. I am forever indebted. They have been most wonderful.

What was the funniest/weirdest/’oneriest thing he ever did?

came home one day, heard a faint cry from down the hall…there he sat with a soup can (some cream of something) stuck on his head. Guess he had to get to the last little bit in the bottom. I regret not taking a picture before taking it off. He was smeared all over with cream of something soup. I never left one on the counter again..

DBP, thanks for asking this question. It brought back some delightful, hysterical memories of my own darlings’ antics.

I lost my Abby a few years back. They are real individuals – crazy, quirky and wonderfully engaging. Sorry for your loss.

Loosing a pet can be hard, but the warm and endearing memories they leave us with are great.

Hold on to them and the parted one never really leaves us.

Sorry to hear your friend has moved on, but I know you two will see eachother again in the future.

B-squared…he was very special..unique, if I do say so myself. Abyssinians are quirky, for sure, besides the long, regal look. He gave me lots of smiles..funny how out fur creatures do that :)

It was my honor to pass inspection by Leo while sitting at Jan S’s table one afternoon.

I was sitting in a chair and he walked across the table and stopped nose-to-nose, smelled my breath and looked me deeply in the eyes, after a few seconds he decided I was worthy and demanded that I scratch him behind the ears and show my due respect to him in his castle.

A few minutes later he was done with me and told Jan I was acceptable and allowed me to get a (wonderful) massage.

I believe there are still a few red hairs of his on the shirt I was wearing that day.

Jan, I’m sorry for your loss and thank you for sharing him with me and the rest of those in your life.
