Hello and thanks for taking a moment to check out my posting! I am new to the blog, so please forgive me if this not the correct place to post this advert. My standard poodle and I are in search of a place to call home. I would prefer a small mother-in-law studio or garage apartment but I am up for the right house share. I am employed full-time and can afford rent up to $800/month plus utilities. I am open to anywhere in King, Pierce or Kitsap County but prefer the west side and hope to live in proximity to Puget Sound.

Betsy the human: I have a master of science degree in biology and a passion for the natural world. I currently teach biology part-time at Olympic College and work at Alki Kayak Tours as an assistant manager and guide. I am a single, active, 46 years-young, responsible female with no kids. I am into kayaking, standup paddle boarding, surfing, hiking and long walks on the beach. My life is drama free and I enjoy keeping a clean, organized space. I am four-twenty friendly and enjoy a beer on the weekends but my partying days are behind me and I generally have my jammies on by sunset! I have excellent references from previous landlords and roommates. I am happy to supply my resume upon request and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Otter the dog: Otter is a well-trained, obedient 3-year-old red standard poodle that I have had since he was seven weeks old. He enjoys kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking and long beach walks…but surfing is not for him. Otter is a love and loves everyone including dogs and cats. He weighs in at 60lbs soaking wet, is not an excessive barker and is of course, completely housetrained. He does not have a destructive bone in his body and has never chewed or mangled anything that was not his toy or boney. Otter has his own references and an excellent history with our previous landlord and roommates. I am fully prepared to pay a pet deposit and you do not have to worry about dog hair everywhere because poodles don’t shed!

If you have a rental (or know someone who might) please get in touch. I am the dream tenant who pays rent on time, causes no trouble and is a responsible mature pet owner. Feel free to spread the word and your help is appreciated!

I would recommend checking out the websites hotpads.com and padmapper.com – they aggregate ads from other sites, and you can enter the filters with amount, location, etc. to see what’s available. $800 or less will be a challenge anywhere in Seattle right now, and you might not end up in the best of neighborhoods. But sometimes things pop up and you can get lucky. Wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks Sue. I check padmapper all the time but I did not know about hotpads. Appreciate your feedback.
