Google Maps is failing me again; anyone have recommendations for a good place to get motorcycle gear, like gloves, jacket, pants? I still have my CO riding gear, and it is definitely not waterproof and definitely not warm enough to handle these spring temps. I need something thicker and waterproof, but I can’t seem to find any gear stores in West Seattle or Seattle area even….

Are you looking for a particular style of gear? Ducati of Seattle at 711 9th Ave. N. (near Seattle Center) is a good option for nice gear, including some for scooterists.

If you want an online option, NewEnough.com is good for cheap options (it’s basically an outlet store for motorcycle gear).

Pretty much any motorcycle store will sell gear too: Ducati Seattle, RideWest BMW, Aurora Suzuki, Cycle Barn, Renton Motorcycles, etc.

The only gear-only store I know of in Seattle is Seattle Cycle Center (http://seattlecycle.com/) north of Seattle on Aurora. They have a pretty good selection.

There’s also Bent Bike (http://bentbikemotorcycles.com/), but they’re a longer drive in Lynnwood or Auburn.

And there’s Cycle Gear (http://www.cyclegear.com/store_locations.cfm?State=WA), with stores in Auburn and Tacoma.

You might find something at Renton motorcycles 3701 East Valley Road, Renton, WA 98057-4948 and there is a harley davison shop just across the parking lot. Also check out http://www.soundrider.com/ Doesn’t it get wet and cold in CO?

Touratech, right near by at 4021 Airport Way So.

Excellent gear, focused on large touring and adventure motorcyclists.

Just be forewarned, they aren’t known for their face to face customer service, in fact I think they relish being prickly. But take a look at their website.
