steppograyMemberIs there anywhere in West Seattle (or close) to rent a room for a small meeting – maybe 8 people – in the evening that’s cheap, relatively quiet, and we can bring in/have refreshments?

christopherboffoliParticipantWhy not try the new High Point Community Center. They have a few small meeting rooms over there and I was told they would rent them out for community use.

lazybeardParticipantDepending on what you’re going to use room for (i.e. selling goods) you can also check with the Seattle Public Libraries.

celeste17ParticipantYou can try the American Legion or the local churches. I know Our Lady of Guadalupe has a new church offices that has meeting rooms.

funkietooParticipantGinomai, the Art Studio that West Seattle Christian has made available to our community has a community that is very inexpensive.

cakeitseasyMemberThe High Point Branch library (35th/Raymond) has a nice meeting room and it’s free to use with a reservation. You can bring refreshments (no alcohol though). There’s a white board and counter space. There may also be AV hookup, but I can’t remember for sure. It’s not a huge space, good for smaller groups (under about 75 people). http://www.spl.org/default.asp?pageID=branch_open_mtgrm_reserve&branchID=13

CeeBeeParticipantStan Lock, our extraordinary Neighborhood Service Coordinator is just in the process of compiling a list of meeting places in West Seattle. His list was up to about 40 locations last time I saw it. You can contact him for a copy at Stan.Lock@seattle.gov
