    Hi – I’ve been noticing a Mallard duck pair in the Brace Point area the last couple of days – and today I just saw the male. It seems odd to see them there so I wonder if one is injured. Anyway – FYI if anyone out there knows anything about ducks/birds and wants to check them out. The male was right here this morning:

    Hi, Gooseface. It’s kind of you to be concerned. I don’t know much about ducks, but I’m thinking one of two things:

    1. Good thing: Female is tucked away on her nest. Tis the season!

    2. Bad: Some idiot let his or her dog loose and injured the female.

    Let’s hope it’s the nest explanation.
