rs261MemberMissing, one Female False Map turtle, about 8″ x 10″. She should be somewhere near the safeway, however I fear she has been captured by racoons.
I can easily identify her, however she might have been injured if she jumped off our balcony. She was outside in a pond, and although I fear the worst I hope for the best.
If found, please contact me on here or e-mail rlsandg@comcast.net

inactiveMemberhey rs261 –
Maybe make some fliers to give all your neighbors within three or four blocks in all directions. A few years ago, I had a male Florida box turtle dig his way out of our pond. I put out fliers and in three days somebody found him in their backyard. He had travelled four city blocks, across traffic, under fences past dogs, racoons and cars. Don’t give up hope.

rs261MemberI fear if she fell from the porch the 10 foot fall would have injured her, so I dont think she’d be that far away, however so far, no luck…

rs261MemberAny chance I can get this moved over to the pets forum? I can probably dig up a picture if needed, but I would think if someone found a turtle walking around, its an odd enough thing that they could call me.
