I would like to try making Dosa like the recipe I saw in the WSJ that apparently calls for hulled black lentils called “Urad Dal”. Does anyone know where to get these in West Seattle or beyond?
I found Urad Dal at the Indian “Traveler’s” store at 501 Pine on Cap Hill. This would be the “Skinned” Urad Dal — black lentils that are hulled and white in color. Just thought I would pass this on — the store is 10 blocks from work, and close to Baguette Box, enough reason to walk there.
