BuddyParticipantDoes anyone know why the KOMO News crew (I think it was KOMO) was in WS around 4:40 today at the intersection of 59th
and Admiral Way?? I didn’t see anything on the news.

ToddinWestwoodMemberAt about 3:45 today, We witnessed 5 police cars (SPD, Burien and King Co) blaze westbound on Roxbury with lights and sirens ablaze.
Nothing on the scanner and WSB didnt know what it was either.

TyrowParticipantI was in the same area when the series of police cars zoomed by. They all ended up at the Roxbury Safeway and blocaded the entrances. Looks like they arrested a lady but that’s all I know but there was a large police presence.

miwsParticipantKOMO reporter Denise Whittaker was doing live reports for their 5:00 and 6:00 pm broadcasts regarding the City of Seattle discontinuing the Crossing Guard program.
They were reassuring viewers that Seattle Schools would keep the program going themselves.
(Personal data point; the Crossing Guard they showed in the taped segment of the live reports is an old friend of mine. We’ve been out of touch a bit for years, and I didn’t even known she did that for a living.)

pamMemberGennessee School was taped off this afternoon for police training – probably not related at all to KOMO being here though.
