kathyMemberMy son was surprised to find someone tinkering with our garage door this evening. When my son asked him what he was doing, he asked about the solar light over the garage door and quickly walked away. This is an alley between 42 Ave and California. My son referred to him as a ‘tweaker’ and said he was about 5’8″, brownish hair, faded black baseball hat, black backpack, jeans, white t-shirt, one front tooth missing. Thought I’d just mention this as the WSB forum community has done a good job of being alert to criminal activity in our neighborhoods.

JanSParticipantkathy..are you north of the junction, or south? While not giving your exact address, could you maybe pinpoint the neighborhood a bit more?

kathyMemberSouth of the junction – between Dawson and Brandon.

CMPParticipantThanks for the info Kathy. I live within a block of you so I’ll keep my eye out for toothless, suspicious looking dudes. At least your son noticed it and hopefully scared him away from the area!

ellenaterMemberWe live near there and someone tried to break into our car recently. I didn’t post because I’m not 100% sure it happened in our driveway as it was on the passenger side and I had not used that door in a day or so. But when I look back, I’m pretty sure it had to be in the driveway and it makes sense because our porch light was out for a few days. They didn’t get in, though. They must have been interrupted. We have a lot of great watch dogs around here.

kathyMemberJust called it in and was told we should have called 911 at the time it happened. Waiting for an officer to call me back.
