I think this is something new there: Huge, thick, warm, fragrant, choco-melty cookies with two types of gourmet chocolate chips plus walnuts. Big enough to share – maybe! Best when warm from the oven, complemented by a glass of ice-cold milk. Or with a scoop of ice cream, but that’s probably overkill. I am picky about cookies, but this might have been the best one ever!July 2, 2015 at 6:51 am #825450
Well, if we’re gonna talk about delicious cookies then we must add the Royale Cookies at Thriftway. They are not sold fresh out of the oven but OMG. Seriously decadently delicious!! Chocolate chips, coconut, macademia nuts — I’m actually not sure about all what’s in there but they are so dang good!July 2, 2015 at 5:55 pm #825451July 2, 2015 at 7:38 pm #825452July 2, 2015 at 11:57 pm #825453
Thanks, Gina. That’s what I call food porn! Cait, they’re in the bakery area, as well as the cafe.July 3, 2015 at 4:53 am #825454July 3, 2015 at 5:28 pm #825455
Oh man, I am already a sucker for the buttery shortbread cookie’s they constantly stock from Rae’s Bakery. The ones that are covered with large granules of bright colored sugar and cutout in fun seasonal shapes…
Looks like we have another new option to derail me from my diet. Oh well, I mentally justify the cookies by filling half of my cart with fresh veggies to balance the sugar overload. : )July 3, 2015 at 6:20 pm #825456
Blackcat, to supplement your justification, if you have time, make a couple laps or so around the store, as you “contemplate” whether you should get the cookies or not.

I really wanted to trash this post, but instead … I went to MM to check out these cookies. They are everything the OP said they are … and more! I bought one to bribe my kid into cleaning the basement (which worked). Still, processed sugar and flour and … feel like I’m goin’ to hell in a handbasket.July 4, 2015 at 2:19 am #825458
