mehud7ParticipantThis cat came to Friends of the Animals Foundation through two other rescues. Her foster home noticed that something was not right. Below is their plea for your help.
“Lady Jane is a thoughtful, gentle, mellow young lady at just 1.5 years of age. She has thick, plush silver-dusted gray fur that is just gorgeous in person, and her eyes are gooseberry green. She tends lovingly and patiently to her 10 week old kitten and keeps us company while reading or watching TV. When she has something very important to say, she speaks in a soft mew. Watching the birds come and go and chatting at them is a favorite past-time of hers. Because of her compromised hip and knee, due to a dog attack when she was just a kitten, Lady Jane is not as active as she would like to be, though she tries her best to explore and keep up with the other cats. Clearly, though, she just can’t, and her leg seems to bother her after being up and around or in one position too long. Surgery is desperately needed to herlp her live a normal, mobile life, and to prevent further damage and possible amputation. This beautiful girl has had a challenging life in just 1.5 years and deserves a new beginning.”
Donations can be made in many ways:
1. In FAF’s donation box on the cat cages at Next to Nature.
2. By mail to FAF P.O. Box 16308 Seattle, WA 98116
3. By PayPal on our website http://www.fafseattle.org
4. At South Seattle Veterinary Hospital 11033 1st Ave S. Seattle, WA 98168 (under Friends of the Animals Foundation)
South Seattle Veterinary Hospital will perform the surgery at a MUCH reduced cost of $1000.
Lady Jane is also looking for a home once healed.
Thank you!

smyParticipantSuch a beautiful girl! Curious how she came in to rescue and her background? Would like to hear the full story, as much as may or not be known.
Please keep updates coming and also what is needed for further funds to get her surgery moving forward.
My cat-friendly pups just somehow got online with nary a wink,a PayPal account and sent her a little bit to help…
Our household is crossing our paws for her! Thank you all for caring for her.

mehud7ParticipantLady Jane came from a mobile home in the Spokane area. She was one of 14 cats and kittens living there. The first rescue group went to take the kittens to place in homes and the adults to send to barns. Lady Jane crawled up on the rescuer’s lap. The rescuer decided then and there that a better home than a barn was needed for this special girl.
Lady Jane then came to Seattle for a weekend adoption event with her 10 week old son. At the end of the weekend, they were two of 11 cats not adopted. The second rescue group called FAF to see if we could take any of the cats. We took six. All have found homes but Lady Jane. Lady Jane waits in a great foster home until money is raised to fix the leg that was injured by a dog when she was a kitten.

mehud7ParticipantLady Jane has had several angels come forward to help with her surgery. The lastest being from a kind hearted person willing to match dollar per dollar any funds raised Lady Jane’s surgery. This person wishes to remain anonymous. Please read the original post to find out how to help.

ClawGirlMemberI saw her this morning at Next to Nature. She still hasn’t been adopted, and the person I spoke to said there hasn’t been much interest. It breaks my heart because she’s such a sweetheart.
