We are looking for FT childcare for our two children (2.5 years & 6 months). Does anyone know of a place that might have openings in West Seattle? I have found some with spaces for toddlers, but not infants. We really want them to be together.

    Thanks!

    Hi Katie,

Try here http://www.allaboutkids.biz/ there on California in Admiral. My daughter goes there and loves it:)

I tried All About Kids last year but they had a huge waiting list…that may have changed though. my neighbor uses Bella Mente behind Jefferson Square and loves it, in fact she works there now. My son goes to Loving Hands Childcare Preschool, 206-763-7047. I am not sure if she has any openings but I can ask (will post here if so). Our son has been going there since he was 8 weeks and loves it; she has a few sibling pairs there.

Thanks, Josie. Loving Hands has two toddler openings right now & I’ve been in contact with her to see if an infant spot will open soon. But I hadn’t heard of Bella Mente!

Good luck! Infant care can be so difficult to find, I went through major drama last year before finding LH. I hope you find what you are looking for!

Are you open to taking your kids to a private home where a stay at home mom with two of her own school age children live? My neighbor is currently taking care of a 1.5 & 3 year old until August and is looking for one or two more children to take care of . Reply back here if you’d like me to ask her to contact you!

I am looking for childcare for full time for my 13 month old girl. I don’t mind if it is private or not, I am just looking for someone who will take care of my child like her own. If someone knows of any leads please let me know!! Thank you

Hi Marisak2000, I am a mom of a 1 year old and looking to care for another child in my house or yours. I just ask that I can take her out on some days to enjoy the beautiful weather. Our girls would have so much fun together. My phone is 206-763-2895.

I live in West Seattle and have been caring for my neighbors kids for the past 3 years. They are now moving on to preschool and I am looking for another little one (or two) to look after. I have 2 kids myself (9 & 5). I would need to be able to pick them up and drop them off at school. It would also be great to be able to get out and enjoy some kid activities during the day. Please give me a call if you are interested or have ay questions. I am available as soon as you might need it!!! Thanks!!

My daughter’s daycare in Des Moines has openings for both an infant and toddler. It’s a 20 minute commute but well worth it for the wonderful *licensed* home care she gets. They have a huge backyard play area, do playgroups, field trips, etc. The kids are all under 5, really well- behaved and well-parented.

I have a home childcare and will have openings in September. I’ll send you a copy of my parent handbook and then we can talk if you are interested.

We struggled with this too when our third child was born. We took a friends suggestion and now have an au pair. It has worked out great and costs less than day care. I have more information if you are interested.

    Before school care needed:

We’re looking for someone to come to our house from 6:45am to 9:15am to help our kids (6 and 3) get ready for school and them take them there. Any help?

    Thanks,

We are seeking part time child care that will ideally develop into full time child care for our 1 year old as time passes. we also have a 2 week old so we are hoping any recommendations will have room to grow later this year when our second can be a little more independent from mom.

Thank you, hoping for some updated leads.

Kazzmere – I’m not sure if this will be helpful or not but I own a small in home daycare on Fauntleroy called the Munchkin Junction. We are on the bus line for Gatewood – both of my older girls went there. If you could get transportation approved to get your girls to my house (the bus drops off literally in front of my home) I would be able to take them both. Our daycare is open until 5:30pm but I could extend the hours just a bit if that is too tight. Good luck in your search !
