If you post and it doesn’t show up, e-mail me before trying again

The spam filter is being a little overzealous right now. As annoying as it is, I can’t deactivate it because we are still under total spam siege. What happens is that if it holds onto one of your posts — usually URLs are triggering it, and politics discussion is laden with those – it will then hold onto all your subsequent posts till I go in and “notspam” mark that first one. I am currently despamming about a dozen from this morning and I know some are repeats from people who thought maybe if they tried another way it would go thru. Sorry about this, won’t have time to get to the real root of the problem till after Garage Sale Day, but in the short run if ONE doesn’t show up, e-mail me immediately and I will go fish it out and that should stop some subsequent grabs.

I imagine you-all have figured this out, but here’s how to tell if this has happened to you.

When you post, it will look to you like your post succeeded. HOWEVER, if you look at the summary list of recent posters and topics, which should show your name first as soon as you post, you won’t be there. VERY RARELY someone else will have hit send almost at the same time you do, in which case these rules won’t apply and I don’t know what rules will. Hey, I didn’t write this software — I’m a simple (minded) user.

And my apologies to people who found my garden nursery pitch on three forums, including a new thread — I’m really not working for them…just like them a lot :-)

TR – It seems to be happening to me a lot lately. I have sent you another email, a little while ago, but don’t want to bother you.

I was beginning to think that the forum was rejecting Republican ideas. Lol
