To quote my co-worker when the Emergency Broadcast System Test came on yesterday… “Please let it be the aliens!”
That being said, I have no idea but I can hear them quite clearly from where I am. Anyone have the blotter up?

klangMemberi am calling the sw precinct —it IS a police helicoptor, they are looking for suspects and I was advised to stay inside when I told her I lived in the webster/30th location.

ElliottParticipantThe chopper has been circling the same spot for 15 minutes. I doubt anyone is running around (unless in circles). If the police were trying to locate someone, the chopper wouldn’t be circling the same intersection. And who knows if the person still has a weapon or left it at the crime scene.

nathanm5000ParticipantNot associating with any business in particular, just mentioning that’s the exact address of John’s Corner Deli (first time I’ve looked at the 911 logs myself, are they typically “general” locations?).

ElliottParticipantGood point about the addresses, the rest of the 911 log seems to be specific addresses – maybe it is John’s. the 911 log also shows this as a “closed incident.” Thou the Chopper is on its 500th lap around my house.

nathanm5000ParticipantChopper noise quieted down a bit (I still hear it, but I’m not sure if that’s just in my head or their circle widened). The blog posting indicates that something did happen at John — the front door is shattered, and medics were attending to someone on the sidewalk.

klangMemberI live on 30th — my neighbor says the police did find the culprits. We’re forming a neighborhood watch……a week ago we all got flyers on our doors (ok, maybe not ALL of us but me and my neighbor to the north). First mtg in may b/c the police organizer is BOOKED until then. :>(

klangMemberlet me clarify rainyday1235 — the burglars from my NEIGHBORS break in last night were caught — separate from this incident. I was just noting that within the past 2 weeks there have been 3 incidents requiring police in a 4 block radius.
