We just installed an HD antenna and said goodbye to Comcast. The picture quality is amazing through the HD antenna……much better than we ever received through paid cable TV. However, we are having trouble picking up a good signal from KIRO (channel 7). We are located in the Genesee neighborhood on a ridge, opposed to a valley.

Has anyone in West Seattle had similar trouble getting a good signal for KIRO using an HD antenna? If so, have you found a good solution to improving the signal? Am curious if an antenna amplifier would improve the signal, or just push through a week signal, only making it stronger to go to more outputs. Any tips or advice on this would be much appreciated.

Is your antenna amplified? It would need to connect to a power source if it is. I have great KIRO signal in High Point, they broadcast next to KING from Queen Anne so see if you can get your antenna oriented to the north.
