I know that back to school means LICE! Aaaagh! I discovered an AMAZING product line called “Fairy Tales”. There Rosemary Repel line is GREAT! It REPELS lice! And it was the only product I could find that disolves the “glue” that the nits are attached with! Check out there website at http://www.fairytaleshaircare.com I am in no way affiliated with them! Just a VERY happy and amazed customer. There stuff is all natural. My daughter got lice(more than once) and I tried the OTC stuff. Found out it has pesticides AND THEY DIDN’T WORK! Fairytale’s did and I would HIGHLY reccomend forking out the extra dough for there terminator comb. I know West Seattle Kids in the Morgan Junction carries the brand but not sure about the Rosemary Repel line. If you sign up, they send you coupon codes. Anyways, just wanted to share this with everyone BEFORE there’s a lice outbreak!

Thanks bsmomma! We’ve nit-picked our way through the “lousy” lice wars a few times over the years. I had excellent luck with the olive oil method. Soak dry hair thoroughly with olive oil, cover with plastic wrap or shower cap, leave on for 65 minutes then wash hair with regular shampoo. Your stuff sounds great because it dissolves the nits, I would spend hours nit-picking my daughters hair, such a pain!!

Mayonaise works good to on ticks, I put mayonaise over it and it fell off. BTW- it is not quick. The tick will keep eating and can get pretty big before it suffocates.

I did the olive oil and mayo treatment too! It worked BUT she got it AGAIN. I’m not kidding, 4 times this year!!! The fairytales stuff has citronella oil in it! So the nasty little bugs won’t even go near her cute little head full of thick hair! I use the shampoo, conditioner and de-tangler on her. I bought the 2 bottles in May and have shared some with someone and I probably still have another month left! You can even spray the detangler on your furniture, backpacks, car, etc…. to deter any bugs like fleas!
