I went to a fundraising party for lymphoma and leukemia last night with my new friends in west Seattle and is was wondeful. The food was great and the margaritas were delightful, the best I have ever had before. I must have drank 20 of them they were so good! The conversation was delightful also.

Thanks to my new friends for making such a wonderful party and for such a good cause. I feel very lucky to have met you all and it is good to surround yourself with kind people while the rest of the world sort of spins out of control. Sometimes I don’t know what to do but I feel better when.

NaturalMom…I’ve lived in West Seattle for 34 years, and have made more friends in the community in the last 2 years because of these very forums, than I had the previous 32 years. It truly has given me a sense of community, whether we’re doing it for a fundraiser, or for just getting together. I consider myself very lucky indeed for meeting such good friends. I’m glad that you have too :)

Adam, I’ll let you in on a secret…I know some of your Seattle friends…uh oh…

jiggers…don’t know what to tell ya…maybe you need to be putting yerself out there more…your drinking buddies aren’t friends, they’re acquaintances – you need the friend kind, you lush ;-) (ok, I’m just teasing him, folks…keep yer shirts on)

My shirt IS on, Jan, but I think that calling someone a ‘lush’ is a little harsh to be justified as ‘teasing.’

Just my opinion, as you always say.

Once again a joke is made that is out of context (my spelling typo in the subject) by this person. Thanks for pointing this out, I feel really great now. So much for trying to post something nice.

NaturalMom – I didn’t see any joke about the subject typo. Did the person PM (personal message) you?

    Just curious.

Well, gee, I apologize to all who are offended by what I said TO jiggers, not ABOUT jiggers. His quote

“The only friends I have are the one’s who like to go out party and get drunk…lol”

jiggers and I have been posting on here since it’s inception…he refers to himself as someone who likes to get his party on, always teasing, or maybe not teasing about how he goes out to drink often, as in checking out the drinks at Zeek’s, etc.

jiggers knows that I don’t really mean that he’s a lush, for goodness sake…so again, my apologies to Jo and …although..I will refer back to my post #2…and let that stand. It came from my heart, and I’m sorry if you think I ruined another thread. I really do love the friends that I’ve made from here, and the ones I have yet to make..

NaturalMom…I type that word like that all the time…I always thought that there’s an acceptable “online” dictionary, anyway :)..we all do hte or adn or freinds or aobut or form for from…I said in another thread that my fingers are dyslexic, , or I just blame it on the keyboard..hehehe.

Jo. I’m referring to post 5 where I was made to look like a idiot.

JanS. I thought your comment was funny and jiggers is the funniest person on here from what I can tell. I really find his humor entertaining and refreshing.

Oh, I see the so-called joke now.

We all have made typos. Probably even the above “jokester.”

That type of unncessary comment is why I very seldom post on the forum.

I’m sure Adam wasn’t meaning to make anyone look like an idiot – he is after all an up and coming COMEDIAN! If you knew him you wouldn’t take this any other way than him being funny. It’s Adam being Adam. Glad you have made some new friends NaturalMom.

Oh I know what he’s up to and it isn’t very funny. I’m sure he’s just being himself.

I agree. I don’t find it funny to find someone else’s error and make a joke of it. That is not the type of comedy I enjoy from up and coming or established comedians.

I personally am big on the the and and etc. etc. Typing the same word twice is almost impossible to spot, until exactly one minute after the hour I have to edit my post.

BTW, if you haven’t found it, the edit key is great — when you hit “send” and discover that you did something silly, you have (I think) an hour to edit and resubmit and no one will know better. I’ve even done it on the rare occasions when I change my mind. :-)

Oops — that was really from charlabob; I was using his computer but he would definitely agree. Only difference is, he rarely makes mistakes. :-)
