I have a futon that has been gathering dust in my guest room that needs to go to a new home. I got it from West Elm about a year ago (http://www.westelm.com/weimgs/ab/images/wcm/products/201035/0003/img46m.jpg) and it’s been folded as a couch ever since. It has a white slip cover.
It’s yours if you want it and can haul it away! (I own cats and although they don’t go into the guest bedroom much, if you have cat allergies, this futon is probably not for you.)

I’m very interested! My husband and I need something bed-like for our second bedroom/office but have not had the spare cash with both of us in school and working. If it’s something that can be secured into our old Corolla, I could even pick it up tonight!

JustSarahParticipantDiane: it’s actually that while at work, I only have access to my work email; web-based email (like Gmail) is blocked. So, to correspond with Alison from work, I would have had to post my work address.
I’m far from paranoid, but that’s a bit too much exposure for me.

JustSarahParticipantGarden_Nymph: thanks for the offer! I just saw your post today. We actually ended up just using a Zipcar Toyota Tacoma for 90 minutes to get the job done. Worked wonderfully!
It would have been quite interesting to make transporting a futon the joint effort of three different WSB forums posters, though. ;-)
