Outlook.com from Microsoft. Pretty good as far as free email goes. Better than Yahoo for sure.
If you have a recent Apple device, you should be able to get a free iCloud.com email address and account.
Hushmail has a free account as well, but I don’t really know anything about them. Supposedly private (as if anything is actually private) and ad-free.
Aol still offers free accounts, if you really want to subject yourself to that mess.
