Posting for a reader: “At about 6:45 this evening, as I was walking on the Alki trail, a dark green 1993 to 2011 Ford Ranger (or Mazda B-series) pick-up with color-matching cap passed by. As it topped a speed bump, a hide-a-key box just couldn’t hold onto the chassis and fell to the pavement. I picked up the box; unsurprisingly, it holds a Ford key.
To be clear, there was no reckless driving, just weak magnets.
