borrisParticipantWell, thinking I could easily retrieve a fence referral a couple of you nice readers gave me a while ago, I can’t seem to find it, and I didn’t write it down at that point (went out of town, got involved in another project… why the fence isn’t done to begin with). I’ve gone back to one month ago in the Open Discussion section and haven’t found my original post (could be my eyes).
So, if any of you have good fence people, I would appreciate the referral and will write it down this time! Need good dog-proof, wind-proof fence (to the extent they can be) for large yard. Not electric fence, but a good wooden one that cannot be dug under. I think the referral was for McJorgans or something like that (I’m probably not even close…).
Also, any referrals for good lawn installers and basic sprinkler system would be great! Large yard (150×50 feet).
Many thanks (again)!

bsmommaParticipantMy husband, Jimmy Fuda, has a construction business, Yankee Construction. His website is http://www.yankeeconstruct.com and his # is (206) 310-4986. He just finished building a new extra re-inforced dog proof fence this weekend!
Good Luck!

IrukandjiParticipantAnother one worth interviewing is Jon Forgays at 930-8730. He’s been building for us for years including stone paths, fence, masonry work and copper gutters.
Jon built our face based on a Charles Prowell design and it looks great. It’s also nice for our neighbors!

GenHillOneParticipantI’m sure I echoed Irukandji in the last rec, but Jon just did a second job for us and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again.

cjboffoliParticipantAlki Fence. Look no further. They scared the hell out of me by being BY FAR the lowest bidder. And the guy who came out to bid only had a cursory understanding of the English language which made me concerned that they’d miss all of the details we discussed. But then their crew showed up and built an incredible fence. Really exceeded my expectations. Don’t let the name fool you though, they’re in Kent. 206.444.6089. Ask for Duke

walfredoMemberI had Duke at Alki Fence build my fence- that makes me feel good to hear he was the lowest bid. He was the only bid I got as the price seemed very reasonable- and he and his team did a great job.
They have a lot of options for looks and materials and did good/fast work. Even did a custom fence in a side area to match an existing fence that was 20+ years old. I have 2 crazy dogs that have not escaped yet.
