I have been testing my tap waters pH level for about three years and it’s been a steady 7.5pH but for the past couple of days it’s been at 9.0pH.

Any one know what’s up with that?

Just curious as to why someone would test the pH?

Calling the water department might be a good idea. If nothing there, I would ask the Fire Department if maybe they had to flush a line for some reason.

I wonder if the drought and then the heavy rain could have an effected the water quality.

I know that as it goes up, it’s more alkaline…and the usual range is 6.5 to 8.5, so 9.0 isn’t exactly alarming.

and remember, rain water is acidic, so maybe they threw a bit extra carbonate in there…
