WestyMemberI am looking for an agent/company that has a good track record. My search thus far has been fruitless.
I would appreciate hearing good or bad experiences to help narrow my options.
Thanks

herongrrrlParticipantRae Neumiller is a Farmer’s agent with an office near Jefferson Square. She’s been our agent for years and we like her a lot. Any time we’ve needed to make a claim or change our policy she’s been extremely helpful and things have gone very smoothly.

squareeyesParticipantHere is a resource from the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner that might help with your track record question:
2008 Homeowners Insurance Company Complaints: https://fortress.wa.gov/oic/complaints/complaints.aspx?Type=HO
2008 Private Passenger Auto Insurance: https://fortress.wa.gov/oic/complaints/complaints.aspx
I’m in the process of getting quotes after realizing I am paying nearly $400 too much per year for car insurance through AAA/ACIC. I need to decide in the next few days as I’m due for renewal soon. So far I’ve really liked talking to Heather Proctor with State Farm on SW Barton, but I haven’t signed on the dotted line yet so can’t really report on customer service.

DBurnsParticipantI love love love my State Farm Insurance agent, Brian Schiffer. His office is on SW California just north of the Morgan junction. His number is 937-7700. He’s a West Seattle guy and is available all the time for questions, reimbursements, etc. He’s really calm and laid back and will tell you the truth about what is a good deal and what can be skipped. We’ve been with him 12 years.

celeste17ParticipantI second Brian. I have been with him for about 10 years. Before him I was with Ted DelBianco and when he sold I didn’t like the person who took over. I know Brain from working at Quidnunc he was a customer and through talking to him I moved my account.

DavidFParticipantTom Warnke, owner of Gillespie Insurance Agency, 206-624-0880, is a wonderful local resource. He is an insurance broker, so he is not tied to one company, and their products: he can find the best fit, and the best deals.

jissyParticipantI second DavidF re: Tom Warnke — Tom is very responsive and just an all around great guy. I have my home, business, car, rental property, & umbrella policy through him.

WSBKeymasterI would be remiss not to mention the two insurance agents who have been longtime sponsors of WSB … we appreciate support for the sponsors that keep us up and running.
Dave Newman, State Farm

John Moore, who represents several different companies (8 are listed in his ad on the sidebar)
Good luck with your decision!

MeeganMemberI second Rae Neumiller with Farmers. She has been my husband’s insurance agent for at least 7 years and mine now for at least 3. She has been so easy to work with and I am very happy with the rates she’s able to get us.
