i just checked google maps and can’t find a bus that goes from here to there without transfers and a fair amount of walking… something i am not willing to deal with at 6AM on a weekend schedule..

    what am i missing?

The 560 goes from the Alaska Junction to the airport. The schedule is here:

    http://www.soundtransit.org/Riding-Sound-Transit/Schedules-and-Facilities/ST-Express-Bus/560-Weekend.xml

It only runs once an hour on weekends, so it might not be exactly when you need it.

have you tried trip planner on the metro site? i don’t know exactly where you are the 560 goes from the junction to the ferry and then up barton before heading thru white center and burien to the airport. i caught it once at 35th and barton was about a 30 minute ride.

Bus it down to SODO & hop the light rain to the end of the line.

JoB, would there be any way someone could give you a short ride?

I know approximately where you live, and the nearest of the 560’s limited stops is at the southwest corner of 35th & Barton. (Kitty corner from Tony’s).

The next nearest is on Roxbury, at the stop by Safeway.

    celeste…

thanks.. in the end we opted for spending the night since we need to be at the airport early and stay and park was about the same cost as parking…

having the car waiting might be a very good thing .. i have not being doing as well lately:(

    dinner in Chinatown tomorrow night:))))

The 560 is always empty when I see it pass by.What a wasted route.

Just took it last week (on our way to HSUS Animal Expo in Nashville). It got fuller on the way to the Airport. According to the bus driver, (apparently) ridership has decreased since Sound Transit stopped taking ‘transfers from Metro’,.

You can still transfer to ST from Metro if you have an ORCA card. It’s just the paper transfers that aren’t valid anymore.
