1sharpcheddarParticipantever try and eat out with a six yr old and an infant? impossible right? I just want to say thanks to the staff at Kokoras for watching over my kids so I was able to eat a full meal and not worry about bothering other patrons. The family atmosphere put me right at ease. Thank you Kokoras for giving me a place I feel I can return to time and again

JenVMemberKokoras just rocks all around. Another place you might try for dining out with kids is Puerto Vallarta. We take my niece there all the time and they are just great with kids.

ellenaterMemberI love Kokoras, too. My son had his first Baklava there and they all crowded around the table to see him eat it. It was hilarious and also really sweet.

JoBParticipantit’s what i would call family style greek… and the cook is talented. the family atmosphere is as welcoming to adults as it is to children…
another spot i think is exceptionally good with kids is the Luna Park Cafe…

nuniMemberUgh..I find Luna Park cafe to be overrated. Been there a few times and every time I wonder “why is this place always busy?!” The food isn’t that good.

Huh? The staff “babysat” your kids so you and other patrons could eat in peace? That should have earned them a HUGE tip.

swimcatMemberKokoras has the best gyros ever! And the dressing on their salads is so good- I wish I could have the recipe.
Nuni, have you tried the milkshakes at Luna Park? There food is just okay, but their milkshakes are the best I’ve ever had. Yum!

flowerpetalMemberThanks for bringing up the topic 1sharpcheddar. I enjoy children and love watching positive interactions between parents and their kids. I know that people frequently grouse about kids in restaurants. I know that kids can sometimes fall apart or exhibit their poorest behaviors at inconvenient times and I am tolerant about that.
Its more bothersome to me when parents exhibit poor parenting skills, not angry, just bothersome. Parenting doesn’t come to everyone naturally. Your kids are fortunate to have parents who take them to friendly establishments like Kokoras, which I agree, is yummy!

The best place for kids, imo, is Taqueria Guaymas. They’ve always been very nice to my family and the food is very good and reasonably priced.
Luna Park is best for breakfast. Betty’s Pile!

Square One BooksMemberOur son loves to go to the Chelan Cafe. The staff is great with kids. They are provided with a huge coloring book for entertainment. You have a great view of trains going by out the window, and each child leaves with their own cup of gummy bears. The food is really basic diner food, but it is really inexpensive compared to other diner places.

Luna Park is a acquired taste.
i take everyone who visits there… and not everyone is impressed:( there is something about the place that either grabs you or it doesn’t…
i like eggs on my burger and luna has a burger with eggs and they treat us like regulars even when we don’t come in for a month or two and the music of my awakening is on their juke box and that music makes even teenagers silly… :)))
but kids are always impressed… and entertained… and the staff treats them well so everyone has a good time.. even when some foolish parent puts a quarter in the batmobile and it thumps it’s way through your favorite song…

Rupers dadaMemberKokoras is really great food and is a regular bail-out if my wife and I can’t think of anything good to make at home.
I agree that Luna Park is very good with kids and is always glad to see them. Once you start eating out with kids you just want a nice environment and a place where people expect to see kids walking around. Their food is good and dependable. It’s not rocket science to make burgers but they do offer healthy salads instead of fries if you want. I like that they have a good beer selection on tap and the service has always been very friendly. Somehow I can never get out of that place for less than $60 including tip with my wife and kid each of us leaving with a milkshake to go! Sure, you can get better milkshakes at Baskin Robbins but they don’t have food or beer do they?
It’s nice to see that Zeke’s is now open – service good, beer selection good, kid friendly – yes! Their pizza could be better but 2 out of three isn’t bad!
