CountingCoupMemberIs there any suggestions out there for a qualified and well done deep tissue massage.
I mean all the way down to the bone marrow?

hammerheadParticipantYou may want to check out other types of massage:
Soma(Hellerwork) and rolfing(it is very intense)
Just some suggestions.

BearsChickParticipantEmmanuel at La Vida in the junction. He has hands the size of a house and will go as deep as you can handle. If you go, please request to contact me privately, as I’d love to get referral credit. I’m a member at La Vida.

datamuseParticipantI tried out Mean Girls for the first time last week for a four-day migraine that wouldn’t quit and some seriously knotted back muscles. Freda was awesome.

JanSParticipantas a massage therapist, I certainly hope “down to the bone marrow” was an exaggeration. And I certainly hope that you don’t want a massage therapist to injure themselves as you keep asking for deeper and deeper. There is a balance, and I certainly hope the aforementioned massage therapists take that into account. Massage does not have to create pain to be effective.

SuRParticipantI second JanS.
Remember nothing in the body happens in isolation. Have you ever asked if a muscle or area is tight because something else is out of balance? It is important to look at the whole dynamic of the functional patterns of the body and work all areas affecting the “squeeky wheel” spots. Then when you get to that really “stuck” place it can let go with very little effort. I have found that this type of approach offers longer lasting results.

SueParticipantI see Desire at http://gypsyfootmassage.com who specializes in deep tissue work, and she likes to say “I do not pet people.” She’s in ActivSpace and I’ve been seeing her happily for a few years now.
