ARCjobsParticipantARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is looking for a Crafting Instructor to share their talents with the community. Instructor will program and deliver 1 hour crafting program at two elementary school locations in north Seattle followed by a “second session” with more freeform programing including gym games and homework help. Ideal candidate will be creative, have technical experience with at least one art medium and strong K-5th grade behavioral management skills. This position allows for .5 hours of paid program prep for every 1 hour class. Reliability, maturity and a fun demeanor are the most important qualities we are looking for.
Location: Meadowbrook Community Center and surrounding schools
Schedule: 2:00-5:00pm pm Wednesdays and Thursdays
Start date: Monday, September 19, 2016
End date: Friday, December 16, 2016
Pay range: $18-$22/hr
Requirements:
•Over 18 years of age
•Ability to work well and communicate with young children and their parents
•Ability to plan age appropriate engaging activities
•Must pass criminal background check
•Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid photo ID
