Gotta know, does anyone actually LIKE Costco brand TP or do they just buy it because it’s inexpensive?

They say they test it in their labs but man is that so sub par compared to even Trader Joe’s brand let alone a national brand!

I used to like it when it was wrapped individually in paper wrappers (easy to distribute in multiple bathrooms) but they changed their supplier and now it’s awful. Have been experimenting with other brands, including a new paper wrapped variety I found on my last Costco trip. I forget what brand it was but they were blue and white and not Charmin.

I don’t like the Kirkland brand toilet paper and can’t believe people actually buy it. I’m frugal but will splurge when it comes to this product…only Charmin in my home. It’s a few bucks more but so worth it.

I always buy it, but I’m super cheap and don’t really care about TP. I have noticed that since they stopped coming individually wrapped the 2 plys don’t stay together when you pull them off the roll. No big deal to me though…

I too used to prefer the individually wrapped ones. Now I just buy whatever Kirkland provides assuming that it IS NOT a Koch bros. company that makes it for Costco.

If someone tells me that it is, I’ll need to change to something else.

Wow, thought I was the only one that hated it. And they specifically put testing into it! Nothing wrong with buying it because it’s inexpensive but just can’t get past the lack of….uhmmm…”quality”!

I’d never buy Charmin. Those commercials with the creepy bears are a deal-breaker. They expect us to worry about “berries” and pieces of tp left behind? Are our derrieres free and clean enough for Mama Bear’s inspections? Ugh!

I think Consumer Reports voted costco top back before they switched to the plastic wrapped stuff that doesn’t fit on most dispensers and leaves a nice coating of paper dust all over the bathroom. *grumblegrumble* I totally googled it to figure out what to switch to. Apparently for price shoppers there’s often a better deal for one of the name brands in a bigger bulk pack for less per sheet/roll if you are a prime member. Would be totally hilarious if someone had that stolen from their porch!

Charmin at Costco only for me. It is the thickest and most ‘luxurious’ (oh my!), but at warehouse price PLUS I get it only when it is the coupon ($2-3.00 off), which is about every 3rd or 4th week, it’s still a deal for the best brand that won’t infuriate you. Also, another tip; I only buy the blue ‘shop’ paper towels in the automotive section. Haven’t used regular paper towels in years. These are a cross between a good Viva and Handy Wipes. They are lint free and STRONG. Use them quite a bit (for similar uses) before tossing them.

I buy Costco TP and like it just fine, I guess I don’t have a picky behind. But this thread makes me wonder what I am missing.

for those of you looking for something human- and eco-friendly, I recommend Seventh Generation.

this thread reminds me of a joke I *really* wish I could tell out here … in it’s place, I offer the following:

Two men are occupying booths in a public restroom, when one calls to the other, “There is no toilet paper over here, do you have any over there?”

The second man replies, “No, sorry, I don’t seem to have any, either.”

The first man then asks, “Well, do you have a magazine or newspaper?”

The second man says, “No, sorry!”

The first man pauses, then inquires, “Do you have change for a twenty?”

i think your appreciation of toilet paper correlates directly to how often you use it..
