Hello. I am writing this post in response to comments on the following thread that has been going on for a while: https://westseattleblog.com/forum/topic/bakery-csa-need-four-more-customers
We at the Columbia City Bakery are now signing up for a new season of our CSB, which is a CSA-style program in which bread is delivered to the houses of various people all over Seattle. We have a great drop spot in West Seattle, over on Walnut near Admiral. If you might like to subscribe to get bread delivered to you at that spot on a weekly basis, check out the details on our website:
columbiacitybakery.com/community-supported-bakeries.
Also, there may be interest in a drop spot further south in West Seattle. If you’d like to pick bread up from a more southerly location, drop me a line at csb at columbiacitybakery dot com, or just reply to this post.
We are very excited about this program, and our customers seem happy about this program, so check it out if you love good bread and sweets. Columbiacitybakery.com/community-supported-bakeries.

KimberleyParticipantThanks for the info Lauren, I lost the link in my email. I look forward to doing this again, I loved the variety from the last round of CSB deliveries (we’re addicted to the cookies at my house).
For anyone else looking to do this, the variety is fantastic and the cost per CSB round is really cheap given the quality of the items. If you don’t think you can consume that much, look into splitting a share with a neighbour or a friend.

sarah in admiralMemberHi,
I’m the host for the Columbia City Bakery’s communty supported bakery in West Seattle. This was the first time I had partipated in a bakery program and I was really thrilled with my experience.
As someone else has already written on this forum, I don’t think I can live without weekly delivery of pretzel knots. The cookies and brownies are to die for and I also recommend the granola as a yummy way to start your day. Finally, three cheers for potato bread!
I invite anyone interested in supporting a very special Seattle business and in eating yummy baked goods to join me for the next few weeks of delicious yumminess through Columbia City’s community supported bakery program!
Also, a special thanks to everyone who participated last season. I rarely saw anyone pick up their goods at my home but I feel a special kinship to you all just the same.

SueParticipantMy thanks to Sarah also for hosting. I had never had Columbia City Bakery bread before, and was not disappointed. The pretzel knots were addictive and I was sorry I didn’t order them every week. The brioche was so rich and makes the best french toast I’ve ever had. I tried different breads each week and was never disappointed. Definitely consider it if you haven’t already.

KimberleyParticipantThank you so much for hosting Sarah (hopefully this time I won’t forget my CSB share/work so late that I don’t want to pull up to your house after midnight).
