Happy September Everyone,
Last year I was given 8-10 silver dollars ranging from the 1880s to 1920s. The end result I want to frame them, but I need to clean them.
Does any one have a coin shop that they could recommend to have them cleaned at? Or do you have a recommendation for a way to clean them?
west seattle coin is at the se corner of calif and oregon. Never been there myself, but that is where I would go probably.

Silver polish or ammonia/water solution work – I’ve used both on my sterling silver so they’ll probably work on coins. Also check out this link http://www.silver-coins.org/coin_cleaning.html.
Que – Duh, good call. My first and only call was to Menache’s (sp) and they do silver cleaning but don’t guarantee anything.
jwws – I would probably go ammonia/water solution over the silver polish and thank you for the URL, good reads.
West Seattle Coin. Don’t clean them until you get their advice. Sometimes you can devalue the coin if you clean it improperly.
