Any recommendations for women’s clothing alterations….particularly hems? Greatly appreciated.

Biscoti: Try Juanita at the Alki Cleaners — I’ve been using her for you name it since she was at her old Admiral location (before the Bartells/Apartment complex was built). She is very good and very reasonably priced. You might want to call ahead though as she is not there everyday.

The Gold Thread is the best! My husband and I have been going to Kwangsook for over five years . . . from hemming up our pants to making sure my complicated wedding dress fit perfectly, she and her daughter do an amazing job. Located at 4045 California Ave, (206) 932-4119.

Patricia Toney!! Patricia just tailored a riding coat for me and I’m very happy with the result. I found her via the WSB. She comes to your house and her work is quick and very professional. I thought the price was very reasonable. http://www.alterationsbypatricia.com/

My wife hates it when I wear my favorite plaid shirt, in fact any plaid shirt.

There’s also one combination of a summer shirt and slacks that I know is a total color mismatch. I like it ’cause it’s comfortable. My beautiful spouse however very quietly but assertively lets me know that it’s time to change clothes before going out together.

    What?

Oh, I thought this thread was about clothing altercations.

    Never mind…

Another recommendation for the Gold Thread.

Been going there for years, mostly just hemming pants or taking in the waist.

    Always good quality.
