Does anyone know if there are any regulations about how many cars can be parked in a driveway? My neighbors, who we share a driveway with currently have five cars parked in the space for two and has parked a sixth car on the grass between our driveways. This is fairly typical so wondering if there are any restrictions or if this is okay as long as I can squeeze past them.

Is the “grass between … driveways” on your side of the property line, theirs, or both?

“Under Seattle Municipal Code, people can only have 3 “running” cars on their property. Additional and non-running cars are a code violation, as is unsightly junk in their yard such as broken down appliances, couches in yard, or illegal actities such as running a repair shop in a residential, unzoned garage.”

Thanks Austin, I’ll talk to them about it in that case.

Lowmanbeach – The grass is one patch that is half on their property and half on ours and they’ve parked on their half.
