    Hello Parents,

If you are non-religious and have your preschooler and wish him or her to attend Hope Lutheran Preschool because you were told that religion is not taught daily, don’t believe it!

And, I don’t mean just saying the lord’s prayer at mealtimes!

From our experience, our three year old, who attended for a year was told religious stories, etc. on a daily basis. Not, just once a week as we were told at the school before we signed up.

When we did not come back for preschool and explained to the administration, the reply was “this is a religious school.”

Indeed! So don’t be fooled if you are told that religious indoctrination won’t be a daily diet for your preschooler at Hope Lutheran. And, the same for the school’s summer program, with whom we received a very similar experience.

Good luck, Parents, in finding an excellent preschool.

P.S.: Our child has gone to the West Seattle Montessori School on Ambaum Way and we are pleased with the results.

Ummm…It’s a church. To expect a religious establishment to not act as such is unrealistic.

I’m surprised that you would truly expect otherwise.

I’m not sure which I find harder to believe: that Hope Lutheran would mislead parents as to the role of religious instruction in its curriculum, or that anyone suspicious of or opposed to religious instruction would send their kid there.
