Please don’t purchase puppies or dogs from pet shops, off of craigslist, etc.

Why not? Watch these short films/video clips, and you be able to tell all of us why not. When people purchase from the aforementioned places, your dollars are supporting what is in these films:

What is your opinion on this type of breeding. There was a person on CNN Anderson Cooper he said: yes we have to tell the breeders to keep breeding.

While not a “puppy mill” I am sure there are more than plenty of adoptable dogs in the shelters that can do this type of job.

Please note I do know that animals can be of comfort during times of disaster but I do NOT think it needs to be a purebred Golden Retriever.

Interesting project.

On the surface, as I don’t have time to thoroughly research their program, I like the ‘concept’ of what they are doing. I wish they would first scour shelters and rescue groups for dogs with the needed temperament. They could ‘save’ human and dog lives that way.
