anonymeParticipantI’m anticipating out-of-town guests and have no way to put them up in my teensy cottage. Does anyone know of a B&B or other accommodation in West Seattle that is very reasonably priced?
Thank you!

JanSParticipanttry the Grove on SW Alaska…
of course, the B & B’s that I know of are The Gatewood, The Chittendon, the Wildwood, and Alki Sunshine…just look up B & B West Seattle..they’re all listed…but might be pricey, since it’s summer…

RagsParticipantCheck out the West Seattle Grove (by the Y)–great reviews. There’s also lots of rentals listed on VRBO.

LStephensParticipantYou might also check vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner). A friend’s son who was visiting just rented a small house here is WS for a very reasonable price. We have used this service in Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and most recently two weeks ago in San Diego where we rented a darling cottage in a lovely neighborhood. In talking with the cottage owner she said she chose vrbo because they seemed to be the most professional from an owner viewpoint and their business practices seem to protect both the owner and the renter. We have never had a problem.

biankatParticipantAnother resource I’ve come upon recently is https://www.airbnb.com/.

beachdrivegirlParticipantWe did a VRBO for our wedding. It was a wonderful experience. The house was just a couple of blocks from the Thriftway with views and at a great price!

robirdaParticipantI live in West Seattle and had to find a place to stay, secondary to a broken pipe in my home. I stopped at the Grove and could not believe they wanted $129.00 per night. The room they showed me was very small and over decorated. I went to a nice hotel Downtown for $79.00.
