I live in Arbor Heights and we feed a couple of squirrels. We do that so they will leave our bird feeder alone and it works. Our squirrel friends have been poisoned by some jerk in our neighborhood. Don’t you know you can be killing other wild life or peoples pets with your poison? Stop it please!
Thanks, Michael. I was wondering about poison in the neighborhood, as a rat crawled up and died next to my house a few days ago. I don’t put out poison, and now I’m worried that this jerk will kill someone’s pet. If a dog or cat gets hold of a poisoned carcass, they can die. Doesn’t matter where the poison was placed originally, rats don’t die on the spot. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
A squirrel would not have been able to get into an enclosed bait trap or poison inside of a house. Someone clearly placed the poison in an accessible, outdoor location. That is irresponsible. What they “wanted” to do is irrelevant; it’s what they DID do that is in question.
