This information was provided in a recent alert sent out by our Arbor Heights Block Watch captains. I’ve added a few details after speaking with the victim, who is both my neighbor and a respected member of our community.
On Saturday, January 27th, she was walking her dogs near 39th Ave SW & SW 105th St. It was around noon, quiet, no one else on the street. She was approached by a man who pretended to bend over to pet her dogs. When he stood up, he had arranged his clothing in order to fully expose himself. She did not react, but turned and walked away. He then walked back toward the elementary school on 105th. He was described as: 6’3” tall, big Caucasian guy, curly black hair, clean-shaven, in his 30’s. He was wearing flimsy short blue shorts (with no undergarments), grey hoodie, and faded blue baseball hat. An incident report is on file, and community members notified the school.
It’s impossible to say whether or not this individual actually resides in Arbor Heights, but it seems reasonable that the larger West Seattle community should be on alert.
