A year has gone by since we took over Alki Cafe last spring. What a great year we have had!

John and I would like to thank ALL residence of West Seattle for welcoming us with open arms making our first year of ownership easier. We have met so many great people last year as a result of owning Alki Cafe. It’s truly been a bless to John and I.

As many of you know, we worked hard all year trying to better serve our customers. We painted interior walls, added outdoor seating, upgraded equipments, all the table surfaces have been refinished, but most important of all, we focused on giving quality service to our customers. If there had been any time where you were not happy with our service or food, John and I would love to hear from you. We will make sure that your next visit will be a pleasant one.

We have received endless requests to open for dinner. John and I have been also working on that. We are adding draft beer and happy hour menu, and we will announce the starting date for that as soon as possible. There are so many ideas that we would like to implement for our Cafe, so please be patient with us as we slowly reach our goals. Your input is appreciated. If you like to communicate with us, please e-mail us at http://www.alkibeachcafe@comcast.net.

We hope you can join us this weekend and celebrate Mother’s Day. We will be offering some new menu ideas as “specials” during this weekend. Thank you to everyone once again.

    Warm Regards,

    Sharon Bang

I’m glad to hear you’re considering dinner – I’ve been one of the people wondering why you weren’t open then. We’ve enjoyed coming for breakfast on a regular basis.

We loooooooove Alki Cafe. I would assume dinner and HH/drinks would be a huge hit down on Alki for the summer. Even if you can’t get a full dinner menu going right away, people (us) love to sit outside and have a drink. Best of luck to you.

Alki Cafe was my first stop in Seattle after driving out from Chicago 15 years ago. In those early years we stopped in often for breakfast, particularly for the incredible salmon corn cakes that were on the menu at the time. For some reason the salmon corn cakes dropped off the menu some years ago. It would be awesome if you could resurrect this sublime breakfast treat.
