The city is currently accepting comments for their review of the proposed seven story building to be built at 4724 CA (formerly Petco). Send your comments to PRC@seattle.gov. I believe that the deadline for comments is Sept 19th. I live behind the site in the Mural building and currently the alley is blocked or congested several times a day by trucks. The design of the proposed building features their loading dock and garage entrance almost directly across from Mural’s garage entrance. This, plus the additional truck congestion for servicing the new building will make the alley non-functional much of the day. This is an unworkable solution that will make both Mural and the new building unattractive to prospective tenants. Two large unsuccessful projects in downtown West Seattle will be only a detriment to the area. I encourage all to comment.
