Fully furnished house (except for room for rent) with gas stove, hard wood floors, washer/dryer, garage storage, parking in driveway and usually quiet street & friendly neighbors. Room for rent is 10 1/2 ft square with a good size closet. Renter also has the option of sharing the spare room as an office with one other person. The house shares the shower – one of the other rooms has a half bath. We also split all utilities and chores. Credit check, references, and first month’s rent plus $400 deposit required. Lease required – length 7 months.

There are two of us currently living in the house. Karen is 28, a cellist, loves knitting, connecting with friends, playing with her horse, painting with watercolors as a spiritual practice, and relaxing with a cup of tea. She is a grad student at Seattle University, studying to be a church pastor – she is not a bible thumper by any means and is very open to diverse ideas about God/spirituality/etc (and many other things). Corey, who is 33, is enjoying his life as a bike mechanic at REI. When he is not tinkering with bikes he’s studying science, philosophy, nature, and other mechanical stuff along with playing the guitar or ultimate Frisbee with his pals.

We’re looking for someone to live in the house with us – someone 30ish, relatively like-minded, reasonably quiet and also engaging, earth conscious and a good communicator. We have 2 indoor/outdoor cats, so it’d be great to find a non-allergic housemate who digs cats.
