Are you starting a new compost pile or compost bin? Need to jumpstart your existing composting efforts? You need red wiggler worms (Eisenia fetida). They eat your kitchen scraps and yard waste creating rich soil as they do.

For only $10 you get more than enough worms including beneficial microorganisms and mushroom mycelium. The perfect mix. This is like getting a mature sourdough starter or kombucha SCOBY.

With so many options out there, I’m curious how people in this
community usually go about finding trustworthy local help for home
projects — word of mouth, online reviews, Nextdoor, this forum?

Would love to hear what’s worked (or not worked) for others. Feels
like it’s always a bit of a gamble picking someone new.

Hello! My name is Thea Pulido and I could be your new housesitter/pet-watcher! I was born and raised in West Seattle, and am recently back in the area after completing my master’s degree at NYU. I have quite a bit of experience, dating back to high school caring for all sorts of pets and households. I have cared for any pet between high maintenance purebreds to low maintenance kitties who are just looking for someone to cuddle with overnight. I have been known to water plants, look out for mail/packages and take out trash/recycling. My typical rates start at $50/day and depend on factors such as number of pets and length of stay. Please reach out to me via text at 206-418-9099 or email at theapulido21@gmail.com!

Same-day service can be really helpful when you’re in a bind, but I’d also pay attention to quality rather than just turnaround time. Some garments are better off taking an extra day if they need special care. If you’re ever looking beyond local recommendations, it’s worth checking experienced dry cleaners toronto on that explain their cleaning process and offer same-day service only when it’s appropriate for the garment.

Or, possibly to move things to / from a storage area. Please email your information and hourly rate – or any recommendations – to Andy at tallac(at)earthlink(dot)net

I’m looking for a yoga meetup type group. With or without leader– maybe just others who like yoga practice — include beginners and intermediate.

I’m sorry to be a complainer, but has anyone else observed how people, particularly during morning and evening rush hour, are treating the portion of SW Genesee between Delridge Way and Avalon as their personal racetrack? I’m not so lame that I would sit there with a radar gun to prove my point, but I have eyes and can judge speed as well as the next guy, and can tell the difference between 25mph and 45mph. This wouldn’t be too serious except the north side of the street is all residential, including the 30th Ave SW bus stops for the 50. I’ve had to dodge people who were both speeding and felt no obligation to stop for people getting off the bus, and have seen others having to do the same. There’s no protected crosswalk there(just the pedestrian ramps) and no real way to safely get across the street to access to depart the bus stops. Anyone else having this experience?

My wife found a gold bracelet at 42nd and Holly. It’s actually just short of being legally gold but it’s a nice piece and we’d like to return it if we could find the owner.

If you think this is yours please send a description and/or picture to: Brandon.k.greenwood+lostbracelet@gmail.com

    Thanks,
    Brandon

While I’ve never experienced any problems with men while riding a bus I understand that what you say is possible. That SOME men may behave as you describe. What I don’t like is you speaking for all women. If you don’t like it say you don’t. You have no idea how â€we’ feel.

This is an open letter to guys. When you have multiple options of seats on the bus, DON’T SIT RIGHT ON TOP OF THE WOMEN ON THE BUS! It’s creepy, weird and reeks of despiration. Women do NOT find it charming. Women don’t automatically want to flirt with you! We don’t want to talk to you! Go away! Mind your business and leave us alone! It’s not your personal hook-up party bus! The same goes for all public spaces. If we say we’re not interested, GO AWAY! If we’re ignoring you, that means we’re not interested.

It is in our front yard, free for the taking. It’s heavy and requires a truck. Navy blue with small white detail. It has a lot of life left.
