My partner lost his set of keys this evening most likely on his walk from south Delridge to the Roxbury area. There is one green Seattle keychain and a spiderman key for identification. Any leads are helpful.

Hey everybody! I’m putting together a little “park party” at Westcrest Dog Park for anyone who wants to volunteer and help out this Saturday, Oct. 21st, at 10:30am. Unfortunately, there’s no funding left for us at the moment, but I will try and bring some coffee and snacks to get started. There are plenty of tools to go around but it can’t hurt to bring any if you got’em. Especially outdoor gloves. The biggest things to get done before the real rainy season comes are getting rid of the last blackberry bushes and filling in holes. Spread the word as its a great way to get volunteer hours if you want em, and I’ll put up some signs tomorrow/Wednesday at the park as another reminder. See you all then and reach out if you have any questions, concerns or ideas!

I was bitten by a dog this afternoon in the Admiral area, on Hinds near California and didn’t get the contact info of the owner. It wasn’t a serious bite, more like a scratch, but would like to check the vaccination records of the dog for peace of mind. The owner was a young lady with brown hair, the dog looked like maybe a husky mix with two different colored eyes. If she or anyone who knows her sees this, please contact me. Thank you!

We’ve been going to Shanghai Hair for years, and everything is always great. Julie and Allen are just about the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Today my 13 year old went in with a bob and semi-permanent pink hair on top of bleached hair that was originally medium brown. It had been about 8 weeks, so the color had become pretty faded and uneven. Didn’t look so hot. She wanted a pixie cut. Julie not only managed to give her an amazing cut, but the bleached hair with the faded pink and new growth now look look like a new $200+ hair coloring treatment. Julie and Allen are a gem to our WS Community!

You can call 1-888-515-7275 with your flip phone to handle your parking needs. The number should be prominently displayed on all the signs, assuming they’re the same as everywhere else in the city.

So, all the parking lots in the junction now only accept pay by phone. I am sorry, I only have a flip phone. I don’t need a smart phone. I am sure I am not the only one. Not everyone has a smart phone. I really can’t go to the junction to my favorite restaurants now, as street parking is not an option, unless one circles around forever.

I did! I was driving southbound on I-5 before the convention center. From my angle it looked like the fire balls started close together and then flew apart, but very strangely. Not just down to the ground, but sideways for a ways.

It didn’t look like a bird strike to me.

I called SPD and they said they had a call in for it already.

Sky Printing has an opening for a full-time, entry-level print shop assistant. Ideal candidates will have some graphic design experience and a good working knowledge of the Adobe suite of design products. This is a customer-facing position; we’re looking for someone who will enjoy interfacing with customers in our community. You will be working with clients in-store, over the phone, through email, and through our website to process in-coming jobs. We have an excellent relationship with our community and we’ve built a trusting relationship with our clients. New hires will become an integral member of our small team and an asset to our community.

We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented and can multi-task. Typical work-load includes responding to emails, processing large projects, working with existing customers to realize their design and printing goals, and helping walk-in customers with numerous projects.

This would be a great position for recent graduates or anyone looking to build their resume and learn real-world graphic design skills. Even if you don’t have a lot of graphic design experience or experience with Adobe products, you will have the opportunity to work on projects from the design stage to completion. Everyone on our design team is an expert Adobe user, and will happily train the right candidate.

You will have steady working hours (9am – 5pm Monday through Friday), with the option to pick up more hours on Saturdays.

    Requirements:
    -Customer service skills
-Multi-tasking, problem solving, and attention to detail
    -Willingness to learn
-Some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Microsoft
    products

I can’t speak from the perspective of a MoW volunteer, but *can* speak from the perspective of a client.

MoW delivered meals to me from August of last year, until May of this year when I had to initially pause, and then eventually end the service due to a hospitalization and lengthy care in a skilled nursing facility.

Throughout those months, the various volunteers who delivered were wonderful. They as well as the MoW/Sound Generations staff that I dealt with genuinely cared about how I was doing.

I believe this would be a great opportunity for anyone looking to volunteer, and meets the requirements, especially those folks with natural empathy.

As I mentioned above, I had to end my deliveries. That was due to the fact that it was determined while I was still in the SNF that my S. Delridge apartment of 10+ years was no longer sustainable for me due to limitations in mobility. So, I and now in an assisted living facility, sadly, outside of W.S./White Center, but I really do like it here.

    Much love to MoW/SG…

    —Mike
