Just ranting about the campers that had left their tent full of garbage and also surrounded by garbage I just spent about two and a half hours cleaning that crap up. Have been homeless and living under bridges for years now and if I am able to clean up after myself so should all the rest. The fact that I had to do it was bull unlike dot i dont get paid a cent and your mess makes me look bad. I get enough hate. As for ur dirty rigs throw those away too with caps on them because nobody wants you’re hep cespecially not some random kids that might come down there end rant.

When I called to make my appointment, the customer service rep suggested I try the “Take it back network.” I just dropped off my TV for free at Friendly Earth, and some places do pick-ups.

Yeah super odd. Especially if they have other stores why label it on UberEats as Sopranos Antico? And the delivery times reflect that of a local business as other West Seattle Restaurants have the same delivery window vs. the Capitol Hill restaurants which would all take longer. Fishy.

We are selling TWO basically brand new Fuji Traverse 1.8 Mountain Style Hybrid bikes.
One is 17 inches and the other is 19 inches. (Burgundy in color)
We will sell either separately or together.
I say basically brand new because they were each only ridden approx. 5 times, if that.
My twin teenage boys recently got their driver’s license and decided they would like to sell their bikes. They have been hanging in our shed unused.
We also have the black bike helmets (both used approx. 5 times as well) and U locks that we purchased at the same time.
We are asking 425.00 per bike (includes helmet and U lock)
I will post pictures after work today but wanted to get the word out.
Email me at dlwseattle@yahoo.com if you are interested.

Alan, the city has a lot of gall to reject your claim for that reason. You should have been reimbursed.
I remember reporting 35th Ave SW to the Find It, Fix It site about three weeks ago. So they should be able to look it up, I hope. New tires are expensive, and we confirmed that it wasn’t a nail that caused the severe damage. It was the result of the potholes. And the city must be well aware of the dangerous pothole situation.

Recently moved from WS to downtown, from a 2 bdrm to a 1 bdrm and do not have use for a 2nd mattress! Mattress and box springs are in good condition.
Pick up only (it’s in storage close to WS) – I need to get rid of it before paying another month of storage fees! Will send photos upon request.

Thank you. I feel terrible trashing a huge TV that works so well, but I guess it has outlived its time. Thank you for the link, much appreciated. Now I just have to figure out how to get it out to the curb! :-)

There is a damage claim process. I did it years ago and my claim was rejected because the pothole had not been reported prior to my incident. I hope you have better luck.

I got a flat tire last summer hitting a Delridge pothole and was told I had would have to replace two tires (ended up replacing all 4 to better tires) because of the age (28k miles on them).

I sent a note via find it fix it with pictures of the pothole and tires and how much the 2 tires cost but I did not get a response.

I am not sure if fix it fix it was the best option and I didn’t pursue it any longer but still made me mad!

We have giant pothole in front of our driveway and it was ‘fixed’but less than a week later, it crumbled into giant pieces of asphalt that would damage an undercarriage if hit. With so much construction around and the wet weather, our streets are a mess.

They announced on Facebook in mid-February that they were delivering and would “soon” announce a date for sit-down opening. Meantime, their page morphed into a branch of a local chain – there was no word of a chain’s involvement originally.

We take a look when we go through Admiral, haven’t seen the door open in quite some time, but otherwise, our “who’s opening next” list has higher priorities.

I do enjoy this spot, the only thing I hate is that it gets REALLY crowded Thursday-Sunday evenings and there is a Skeeball machine taking up valuable table real estate, I know they market themselves as a “bar that serves food”; however, it seems like their food is a big draw for people. Perhaps they could consider removing the entertainment and adding a few High Top tables that could accommodate more folks, otherwise, great place!

Puget Sound Puppers LLC has an opening for a motivated candidate to join our team of compassionate and dedicated Professional Dog Walkers in West Seattle. Hours will average 12-20 hours per week once training is complete, depending on our scheduling needs. Candidates must be available at least 11am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend availability is ideal (we pay time and a half for most weekend walks), but not required.

Pay starts at $14-16/hour (including your drive time between appointments). After the 90 day probationary period, employees with at least a “Good” review rating receive a $1/hr raise, plus additional money each pay period to help offset the cost of gas.

We want to work with like-minded people to support the vision of changing our world, one dog and one person at a time. No experience is required, but the sort of people who join our team show a commitment to working with dogs and other pets for the long term. This is a great job for aspiring dog trainers, or anyone interested in working with dogs and learning about their behavior.

If you think you’d be a good fit, please submit an application to hiring@pugetsoundpuppers.com with:

    – a cover letter outlining your experience & why you want to work for us,
    – your resume,
    – the contact information for three professional references.

Important: You must be at least 18 years old, be able to work comfortably on your feet 4 hours at a time, be able to safely lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis, have daily, reliable access to your own vehicle with proof of car insurance, and own a smart phone capable of sending both email and text messages. All candidates will be asked to complete a separate application questionnaire.

The hiring process also involves a background check regarding conviction and arrest records in compliance with Seattle’s Fair Chance Employment Ordinance, SMC 14.17. Applicants will be provided an opportunity to explain or correct background information.

I’m getting rid of an old tube TV, myself. Goodwill doesn’t want it, but you can make an appointment to have the city pick it up for recycling for $20.

Thanks for weighing in Beckyjo! We are not located in the City of Seattle so the new minimum wage regulations do not apply to us. That said, we are hoping to grow in support and impact and we work toward making all of our staff salaries more competitive.

I run a successful estate business with a significant eBay store. I have more stock than I can handle myself right now, so am looking for someone to help me process items for sale online.
I have a warehouse in Sodo with easy access to transportation and free parking.
Initially, I’m looking for someone to help clear the backlog, 10-20 hours / week for however long that takes. Probably about a month. Could turn into something more regular up to 10 hours / week.
You will be taking items from stock and photographing, weighing and measuring them, and then listing them on eBay I will train you.

    What I need from you:
Fast and efficient – need to be able to photograph, weigh, measure and list 10+ items / hour
Detail orientated – we maintain eBay top rated status and accurate listings helps us keep that
Fast learner – good on the computer and able to grasp the finer points of listing on eBay for maximum sales
Trustworty – since you will have access to my ebay account, I’ll need some references

    Pay is $12/hour

This gig is perfect for people seeking a flexible arrangement and who aspire to start their own eBay business. You will learn a lot.

Please respond with your qualifications and a short paragraph about why you’re perfect for this gig. Respond directly to

Sorry for your loss. We do publish obituaries on the news page – no charge – so you are welcome to e-mail us the text and photo if you are interested. There is no requirement that the person who died had to be a West Seattle resident at the time of their passing, just that they had some notable ties here along the way, which sounds to be the case. The submission info is at the bottom of every obituary we publish – https://westseattleblog.com/category/obituaries

It works great, but is way, way to big for my little West Seattle house. FREE! Please come get it. I would welcome any and all suggestions on how I can get rid of it.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the information and funny Oregon story. Today, the tape on the windows seems to have worked and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will be the permanent solution. I appreciate all the great information. If it comes back texting, I will also confiscate its little cellphone. :)
