kdwisdom: I am not the op nor have anything to do with this business, but I did this exact job for almost a decade. It is not suitable for telecommuting since it involves multiple repair stations with client computers and a rolling chair. :) It is however the most efficient way to use an expert repair tech and still make a profit in the pc hardware repair realm. I had a 10 station circular setup and often had all 10 in use at the same time. Most of the time used in pc repair is waiting for a scan or transfer to run or pushing a puter with an intermittent problem to throw the error codes into a log so you can find the clue to fix it. The rest is swapping out parts just like most auto repair nowadays.
