West Seattle High School is having a Lunar New Year Celebration at WSHS on February 9th. Doors open at 6:45 pm and the event is from 7-8:30 pm. The festivities include a student fashion show and potluck style food. All are welcome.

Welcome the Year of the Dragon at a festive celebration of Asian culture, fashion and food. The program starts in the Theater at 7 PM with a lion & dragon dance, traditional music, martial arts, and a fabulous student fashion show. After the show, join us in the Commons for a Lunar New Year fair featuring cultural displays, games, crafts and delicious food samples. Make sure to wear your best red (for luck) to capture some colorful memories at the photo booth. You might even bring home some lucky money & sweet treats! Admission is free and open to the Madison school community. This event is presented by students from the WSHS Chinese Program and AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) Club and sponsored by the WSHS and Madison PTSAs.
