About the African-American Writers’ Alliance:

The African-American Writers’ Alliance (AAWA), a diverse and dynamic collective of Seattle-area writers of African descent, provides an informal and supportive forum for new and published writers.

The AAWA helps member writers polish their skills, provides peer review, and creates opportunities for public readings and other media venues. The group encourages members to publish individually and collectively. More information at https://www.aawa-seattle.org/

We can provide accommodations for people with disabilities at Library events. Please contact leap@spl.org at least seven days before the event to request accommodations. Captions are available for all recorded Library programs.
