March 25th, 10 am–2 pm

The Community General Store will be opening its doors for a neighborhood spring celebration March 25th, and everyone is welcome. The CGS, a new West Seattle business that offers its members community space and access to a library of unique and beautiful things, will be open to the public for a special day of family-friendly sharing.

“Everyone is feeling the tension of our divided country right now. For months we’ve been huddled inside, worried about what to do next and how to take care of each other in the process. The Spring Celebration is our chance to reach out and remind our neighbors that this is a way to care for each other too, and that it’s okay to celebrate” Kristin Tuttle Tomaschke of the CGS says.

The celebration will include an interactive indoor space for the kids to play as well as opportunities to share food, stories, culture and music.

At the spring celebration, they will also enjoy their small, newly-added stage, sharing puppets and instruments, as well as offering a chance to read books and poetry and tell stories in an open-mic-style event.
