The Log House museum will host a map exhibition from 01/25/18 – 09/26/18 with an opening reception on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Navigating to Alki: Early Maps of the Duwamish Peninsula depicts the growth and development of the northern Duwamish Peninsula, from its first inhabitants until its annexation by Seattle in 1907. The exhibition was a collaboration between guest curators Phillip Hoffman and John Sweetland (two West Seattleites who volunteer with the Log House Museum on a regular basis), Lissa Kramer (Curator for the Log House Museum’s parent organization the SouthWest Seattle Historical Society), and Amy Gorton (Museum Manager for the Log House Museum).

The exhibit opening reception is free and open to the public. Light snacks will be provided along with “grog” for adults with I.D.
