Anti-Hate Alaska Junction works to reduce hate in our neighborhood by providing Bystander Intervention Workshops.

The leader reviews brain science, including the reality of emotional responses, their effects on brain chemistry, and the resulting triggering of our fight/flight/freeze survival responses. Participants apply new knowledge and practice new skills by running scenarios of hate-based interactions with the goal of de-escalating the situations. Working as an aggressor, a target, or an intervening bystander, participants learn by doing, not by listening.

There will also be an opportunity to have an extra practice session on Sunday, June 2 at 2:00 pm.

The workshop is FREE, but donations are accepted. To register, email antihate3@gmail.com or just walk in. Visit our website at www.antihatealaskajunction.wordpress.com

This workshop will be the third of four scheduled to take place in 2019.
